Colden Welcomes Dr. Chrysoula Komis
Colden Corporation is pleased to announce that Dr. Chrysoula Komis has joined our staff as a Senior Scientist. Chrys has a Doctorate in Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene from Drexel University. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, a Certified Safety Professional, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and a Registered Biosafety Professional.
Chrys has over thirty years of occupational health and safety consulting experience working with clients through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration where
she served as a Compliance Officer, Industrial Hygiene Supervisor and as the Regional Industrial Hygiene Coordinator for Region III. For the past eight years Chrys was a Voluntary Protection Program Team Leader and VPP Manager for Region III performing pre-approval and recertification audits and program evaluations. Her experience spans industrial and non-industrial environments including: chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, energy, food industry, foundries and light manufacturing.
Chrys is also an adjunct professor at Temple University in the Departments of Public Health and Civil and environmental Engineering where she teaches environmental health courses in toxicology, industrial hygiene, analytical instrumentation, industrial and construction safety and environmental science.
