Albany Industrial Hygienist / Safety Professional

Job Description:

Full time opportunity for Industrial Hygienist.

Responsibilities could include:

• Work with a team of CIHs, CSPs, senior scientists and specialists providing industrial hygiene consulting services at a variety of client sites.
• Perform industrial hygiene surveys for a wide range of hazardous agents such as chemicals and noise.
• Assist our clients in managing various aspects of Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety programs.
• Interact with business leaders, technical personnel and production employees.
• Project monitoring related to abatement of hazardous materials.
• Prepare narrative, scientific written reports.
• Some travel should be expected.

Qualifications:

• Four-year undergraduate science degree.
• At least three years' experience.
• Practical experience in industrial hygiene, safety or environmentally related project monitoring.
• Familiarity with asbestos abatement, demolition/decontamination techniques preferred, but not required.
• Work experience in a research laboratory environment a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and ethical conduct are essential.
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and technical writing ability.
• Ability to perform comprehensive industrial hygiene surveys independently.
• Effectively and efficiently manage challenging workload independently with support from others.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable and recognize the importance of producing quality work.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Asbestos Project Monitor/Project Manager

We have a position opening for an Asbestos Project Monitor/Project Manager in our Syracuse, NY office. The position requires a minimum of five years of project monitoring experience. A Bachelor of Science degree and Hazwoper certification is desirable.
