Michael L. Howe, CIH
Michael Howe, a Colden principal owner, has more than 25 years of experience focused on industrial hygiene and safety. He supervises exposure assessment and remediation projects for Fortune 100 companies and other clients. Notably, he has directed the decommissioning of thousands of square feet of academic research space, the investigation of hydrofluoric acid exposures to individuals operating the space shuttle, and the remediation of lead and mercury in an 8,000-seat stadium for a major university.
Mr. Howe holds a bachelor of science in chemistry from Le Moyne College. He maintains certification in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene. In addition to being a Certified Industrial Hygienist, he maintains various certifications in several asbestos disciplines.
He started his industrial hygiene and safety career working for E. I. DuPont in Pennsylvania and began his consulting career in 1985 for Galson Corporation. Mr. Howe also served for 2 years as the radiation safety officer for Syracuse University.
