Sean M. McMahon

Industrial Hygiene Technician

Sean M. McMahon delivers industrial hygiene and safety consulting services, including construction safety audits, indoor air quality surveys, and traditional industrial hygiene exposure assessments. Notable projects have included full-time construction safety services and community air monitoring during the remediation of a major utility's former manufactured gas plant (MGP) site. He has also provided asbestos remediation oversight and air monitoring services to more than a dozen industrial and commercial organizations.

Mr. McMahon has a bachelor of science in environmental science and policy from Clarkson University. He holds asbestos certifications for New York State, including Asbestos Project Monitor and Air Sampling Technician, and is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association. Other certifications include OSHA's 40-hour HAZWOPER and 10-hour construction safety and health programs.

Mr. McMahon began as a research assistant at Clarkson University investigating the efficiency of an air purification system designed to increase lung function in asthmatic children. He also gained experience in the consulting field as an undergraduate by conducting an employee exposure assessment at a primary aluminum production facility using data logging and video recording instruments.
