Bob Rafferty

Senior Consultant

Robert Rafferty is a seasoned environmental health and safety professional with more than 20 years’ experience. Mr. Rafferty, who joined Colden in 2008, is a Senior Consultant in Colden’s Albany Tech Valley office, bringing lessons learned from both private consulting and regulatory agency service. Mr. Rafferty has a broad background in environmental assessments, industrial hygiene, health and safety program management, hazardous waste site remediation and environmental health and safety auditing and training. Clients have included large commercial lending institutions, manufacturing, automotive, and power generation entities.

Mr. Rafferty received his bachelor of science in geology from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and also completed a certificate program in occupational and environmental health and safety from Cornell University Cooperative Extension, Ithaca, NY

Before joining Colden, Mr. Rafferty worked for the New York State Department of Health, Center for Environmental Health, Bureau of Toxic Substance Assessment, where he worked on high priority assignments including developing environmental sampling techniques for first responders to use during public health emergencies , terrorism preparedness, assessing environmental hazards at day care centers during initial or renewal registration or licensing, HAZWOPER and respiratory protection program instruction and assessing private homes affected by oil spills.
