Jessica Brown, MS, CHMM

Project Manager

Jessica Brown has 15 years’ professional experience managing hazardous materials, assisting firms on chemical safety, providing safety training, and delivering industrial hygiene services. Her areas of expertise include REACH (European Union regulations dealing with the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemical substances) and chemical hazard planning and communication. She provides full-time, on-site chemical management consulting for a major industrial facility in the Northeast.

Ms. Brown earned her bachelor of science in environmental science from Slippery Rock University and a master of science in environmental health and engineering from Gannon University. She is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an asbestos building inspector and is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager. She serves as president and chemical specialist for the Erie County (PA) Hazardous Materials Response Team and is vice chair of the Erie County Local Emergency Planning Committee. Ms. Brown is a member of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Ms. Brown began her career performing air quality monitoring for the asbestos removal industry. She advanced to other laboratory and field positions, providing environmental health and safety consulting at Eljay Environmental Corporation, Microbac Laboratories, Edinboro University, and ARCADIS.
