Colden Welcomes Chrisy Walsh, MS, CIH

Colden Corporation is pleased to welcome Chrisy Walsh, MS, CIH as a Project Manager in our Philadelphia office. Chrisy brings with her over ten years of occupational health, safety and incident management experience to Colden where she specializes in health and safety auditing, occupational hygiene, contingency planning and emergency response training. In her role as a Regional Safety and Environmental Health Director for the US Coast Guard, she provided environmental health, safety, emergency response, and industrial hygiene support to 138 Coast Guard facilities and 7,500+ employees across eight states. She ensured the safety of all Federal, State, and local responders to multiple national level incidents, including Hurricane Matthew (2016), Hurricane Harvey (2017), and Hurricane Maria (2017). Chrisy also developed and implemented safety plans for the 2017 Sail Boston Maritime Celebration; a multi-venue event that encompassed waterborne and landside operations where she served as the federal lead Safety Officer over the dynamic six-day event that involved over 600 first responders.

Chrisy holds a master of science in environmental health from Harvard University with a concentration in occupational hygiene. Her thesis focused on evaluating and characterizing 3-D printer emissions in the workplace. She earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy, graduating with honors.

Ms. Walsh is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). Prior to relocating to the Greater Philadelphia area, she served as the President and Executive Committee Advisor for the New England Section of AIHA.
