The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recently announced intent to develop a new Occupational Safety and Health Management System – ISO 45001. It will be based on the current British standard (OHSAS 18001), and is expected to be structurally similar to ISO’s current environmental management system (ISO 14001). The standard is scheduled for completion in October 2016.
