Senior Consultants Michele Shepard, PhD, MS, CIH and Paul Webb, MPH, MBA, CIH, CSP are members of the American Industrial Hygiene Association Nanotechnology Working Group (NTWG). As Chair of the NTWG, Dr. Shepard will be accepting the Shining Star Award during the AIHce Mark of Excellence Breakfast on Wednesday, May 25 in recognition of the NTWG’s outstanding work as a “best in class.”

This podium session has been arranged by Senior Consultant Paul Webb, MPH, MBA, CIH, CSP, and will focus on emerging nanotechnology issues. Topics include “Methodology for Assessment, Evaluation, and Control of Potential Exposure to Engineered Nanomaterials (ENM)”, and “Adsorption Efficiency Comparison of Fabricated Buckypapers (BPs) for Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Sampling and Analysis”. It will also focus on “Investigation of Airborne Particulate Matter on the International Space Station (ISS) Using a Thermophoretic Sampler”, among other topics.

Dr.Shepard will be joined by session monitor Paul Webb, MPH, MBA, CIH, CSP. This topic was only one of four science symposiums chosen for the conference.
