Please join Colden in welcoming Michele Noble Shepard to our senior management team! As a newly appointed Vice President for Colden, Michele will oversee the operations for environmental, health and safety (EHS) management and auditing projects, and will continue to manage and expand new and existing high profile client relations.
Operating out of Colden’s Albany, NY, area office, Dr. Shepard provides multidisciplinary consulting and management services and serves as the senior technical leader and staff supervisor for the office. She brings the benefit of over 20 years in EHS consulting, industry, and academic research to the practice. Her areas of expertise include EHS management systems, exposure and risk assessments, program development, training, emergency preparedness and response planning, and auditing.
Dr. Shepard is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and the President-Elect of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Eastern Upstate New York local section. She is also the Past Chair and an Executive Board member of the AIHA Nanotechnology Working Group.
Dr. Shepard holds a doctor of philosophy in nanobioscience from the University at Albany College of Nanoscale Sciences and Engineering (now SUNY Polytechnic Institute) where she was an EPA STAR Fellow. She also earned a master of science in environmental studies from the University of Oregon, and a bachelor of science from Clarkson University in industrial hygiene and environmental toxicology.
