Patrick Guard

Asbestos Project Manager

Patrick Guard has over 7 years of experience in the environmental health and safety field. The majority of his work has been focused in the asbestos arena including hundreds of building inspections, project monitoring, and air sampling. Other work has included detailed monitoring of the decommissioning of chemical and biological laboratories for specific contractor and public concerns such as heavy metals, asbestos, biologics and volatiles.

Mr. Guard's military experience included training a company of several hundred third infantry, 69^th armored division Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) in weapons range safety, nuclear biological and chemical safety, as well as specific infantry training such as combat life saver, employing and recovering explosives and heat and cold weather safety. Mr. Guard also helped in the 1998 environmental clean-up of the HHC's kabal in Kuwait.

Mr. Guard holds an A.S. degree in Engineering Science from Tompkins Cortland Community College. He is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, has several asbestos certifications for New York State including New York State Inspector, Project Monitor and Air Sampling Technician. He is also certified under OSHA's 40 hour HAZWOPER and 10 hour construction safety and health training programs.
