Join the AIHA Deep South Section for its annual September Industrial Hygiene Seminar on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Edward Dufresne Community Center in Luling, Louisiana. This full-day event will bring together occupational and environmental health and safety professionals for practical continuing education on current regulations, emerging technologies, exposure assessment, acoustics and vibration, statistical analysis, and workplace health risk investigations. Chrisy Walsh will co-present “Rethinking Risk: Applying Statistics to Exposure Data” with Tuan Nguyen, MSPH, CIH, CSP, Regional Health Discipline Manager for Shell Americas. The session will explore practical applications of statistical analysis for interpreting industrial hygiene exposure data and supporting informed risk-management decisions.
Shannon Magari will present “Practical Methods for Investigating and Addressing the Health and Safety Risks of Water Intrusion and Microbial Growth: Analysis of Four Case Studies”. This session will explore practical approaches to investigating water intrusion and microbial growth, evaluating associated health and safety concerns, and developing effective response strategies.
