Join Colden at the 2026 ASSP Conference

Colden will be presenting at the 2026 ASSP conference in Anaheim, CA. The conference will begin on Sunday, June 14th, 2026, and conclude on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026. In attendance will be Shannon R. Magari, ScD, MS, MPH, Michele N. Shepard, PhD, MS, CIH, and Joshua M. Humlhanz, CSP.

Shannon R. Magari, ScD, MS, MPH and Joshua M. Humlhanz, CSP will present “Practical Methods for Investigating and Addressing the Health and Safety Risks of Water Intrusion and Microbial Growth: Analysis of Four Case Studies”on June 15th at 1:45 PM – 2:45 PM PDT in room 201A. This session will highlight, through four case studies, how successful water intrusion and microbial growth investigations require a combination of both technical and soft skills. This presentation will review the process by which the water intrusion was identified in each case, what mitigation measures were taken and what communication with stakeholders was undertaken.

Michele N. Shepard, PhD, MS, CIH will present “Navigating Ultrafine Particles & Engineered Nanomaterials: Safety Management for Changing Work Dynamics” on June 15th at 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM PDT in room 210A. This presentation will identify key characteristics and sources of Ultrafine Particles (UFPs) and Engineered Nanomaterials (ENMs) in the workplace. Learn how to apply basic risk assessment and banding approaches to evaluate UFP and ENM risks and select appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
