As Manager of Colden’s New York City office, Jim Miades has over 20 years of professional experience delivering occupational health and safety consulting services with a focus on the media and entertainment industry. He manages Colden’s television and film production safety and industrial hygiene consulting services and provides ongoing support for network newsgathering and broadcast operations worldwide. He has an intimate knowledge of the unique challenges faced by the industry and remains focused on finding solutions that preserve artistic vision in a safe and healthful manner.

Mr. Miades also supports large scale construction, renovation, and property management operations with hazardous materials management and industrial hygiene consulting services. He has designed and implemented complex indoor air quality investigations in response to employee concerns during normal operations, renovations, and after fires, mitigating employee health risks by identifying and remediating contaminant sources and exposure pathways.

Mr. Miades earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Lehigh University. He maintains certification in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene and is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), and American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).

Beginning his career as an Industrial Hygiene Technician with Galson Corporation, Mr. Miades progressed to Environmental Scientist and eventually into a Project Manager role. Before joining Colden, he also served as a group manager with ENSR International Corporation.
