Aprille Darang
Project Consultant
Aprille Darang serves as a Project Consultant based in Colden’s Philadelphia area office. She regularly supports clients in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, entertainment, and manufacturing industries by delivering industrial hygiene services including indoor air quality monitoring, respiratory protection training and testing, and exposure assessments.
Aprille’s project work includes the management of hazardous building materials such as asbestos, lead, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). She has conducted detailed industrial hygiene assessments for chemical and physical agents and provided oversight during the decommissioning and renovation of pharmaceutical and laboratory spaces. Her experience also includes air sampling for volatile compounds during soil excavation, evaluating hearing conservation programs through noise dosimetry and sound level mapping, and conducting indoor environmental quality assessments. Aprille has led respirator fit testing campaigns, performed inspections of fall protection equipment in accordance with ANSI and OSHA standards, evaluated laboratory fume hood ventilation, and supported Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for hazardous material removal operations.
Aprille earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Before graduating she interned with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), conducting health and safety audits throughout the hospital. Prior to joining the Colden team, Aprille provided environmental waste stream guidance for Stericycle in her role as a Healthcare Sustainability Specialist. She holds state and city asbestos certifications in Pennsylvania (Asbestos Building Inspector).
In her free time, she enjoys staying active, traveling, being outdoors, and volunteering her time with community projects that help protect the environment.
