Industrial Hygiene and Safety Specialist

As an Industrial Hygiene and Safety Specialist out of Colden’s New England area office, Kyle conducts chemical and physical exposure assessments, including industrial hygiene sampling, personal noise dosimetry and noise contour mapping in a range of settings including automotive assembly, foundries, and chemical, agricultural and pharmaceutical production. In addition to general industrial hygiene support, Kyle has performed local exhaust ventilation system assessments, radiation surveys on enclosed X-Ray cabinets, indoor air quality assessments in nonindustrial settings and detailed surveys for respirable dust and silica in unique manufacturing environments. He also evaluates workplace hazards through job hazard analyses and provides Lockout/Tagout technical support, including the development of equipment-specific energy control procedures.

Kyle earned his Bachelor of Science in Safety and Occupational Health Applied Sciences from Keene State College. Before joining the Colden team, Mr. Blakely worked for Terracon performing quality control sampling on soils, concrete and reinforced steel at various jobsites across New England.

In his free time, Kyle enjoys cooking, especially Thai cuisine for his friends and family, and participating in outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking.
