Jason Straut
Project Manager and Consultant
Jason Straut, working out of Colden Corporation’s Philadelphia area office, serves as a Project Manager and Consultant. Jason has 13 years of experience conducting building inspections and air monitoring services for environmental remediation projects dealing with asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold. He also conducts job hazard analyses and risk assessments, and provides construction and demolition project support, environmental site assessments, and waste stream characterization for disposal. He currently provides safety and industrial hygiene support to a variety of industrial and nonindustrial clients.
Jason holds EPA training certifications for building inspections and maintenance planning and is a Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry licensed inspector, and a Maryland Department of the Environment, Building Inspector and Management Planner. He is also a licensed Building Inspector for the City of Philadelphia. Jason also holds certificates for OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour Construction Safety training, as well as a certificate for 40 HAZWOPER training with the required annual 8-hour refresher training. He is also a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).
Prior to joining the Colden Team, he worked for Wood as an Environmental Technical Professional where he provided project management, technical, and logistical support. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences – Earth Systems, with a Minor in Political Science from West Chester University, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Montgomery County Community College.
In his free time, Jason enjoys learning to play the bass guitar, fostering cats and kittens for adoption through Pawsabilities of Skippack, Pennsylvania, and working on home improvement projects. He stays active with outdoor adventures such as hiking, fishing, camping, and spending time with family.
