EHS Specialist

Chizoba Onwubuche serves as an EHS Specialist out of Colden’s Syracuse office. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria and a Master of Science in Environmental, Health and Safety Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY. Chizoba joins Colden with over three years of experience with Acme Drilling in Port Harcourt, working in preventive maintenance in the onshore oil and gas exploration industry. He holds certificates in OSHA’s 40-hour HAZWOPER and DOT’s HAZMAT Shipping and Handling. 

Before joining the Colden team, Chizoba completed Environmental Health and Safety internships with Plug Power in Rochester, NY and Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. During these internships, Chizoba performed job hazard analyses, health and safety program and training development, indoor air quality assessments, ergonomic evaluations, respiratory protection testing, and noise exposure monitoring. 

In his free time, Chizoba enjoys exploring new places, trying new cuisine, enjoying the beauty of nature, and playing and watching soccer.
