Project Consultant
Haley MacDougall works as a Project Consultant based in Colden’s East Syracuse, NY office. She has seven years of experience supporting a diverse range of clients across various industries including hospitals, universities, industrial agriculture operations, pharmaceutical manufacturers, semiconductor research and development facilities, and municipalities. Her primary focus has been on evaluating occupational exposures to airborne contaminants and physical hazards such as noise, radiation, and heat.
Haley has experience conducting local exhaust ventilation assessments, indoor air quality assessments, and community air monitoring. She has also developed illustrations that highlight the distribution of noise, light, and heat exposures throughout facilities. For counsel, she has analyzed data and created exhibits to aid in legal proceedings for suspected cases of occupationally or environmentally related illnesses.
In addition to her technical assessments, she provides essential data management support for numerous clients. Her responsibilities include rating chemical hazards, developing energy control procedures (LOTO), and streamlining employee exposure assessments and sampling plans. She is proficient in integrating these processes into databases such as Cority GX2, Intelex, Citrix Workspace, Gensuite, Brady, and 3E.
Haley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, as well as a Master of Public Health with a specialization in data and analytics from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Before joining Colden, she worked for approximately five years as an Emergency Medical Technician. She is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist. In her free time, Haley enjoys cooking for friends and family, hiking, renovating her 100-year-old house, knitting, and reading.
